Matt’s love of horses began in the womb. Matt’s mom and dad took him to the track before he could walk and talk. Matt likes to joke that he learned to read in elementary school by reading the Racing Form. A thousand horse sales and races later Becklyn Farm became a reality. Matt prides himself on his proprietary A.I. pedigree analysis and a keen eye for individuals he learned over the last 50 years.
Favorite Moment: Conquistador Cielo thundering home in the slop winning the Belmont six days after winning The Met.
Amber Denny
Head of Finance
Amber Denny was a highly accomplished NICU nurse before coming to the thoroughbred business. Amber accompanied Matt to the races in 2011 and never looked back. Amber leads the finance team at Becklyn Farm. Caring for the tiniest babies in the NICU was an easy transition to caring about the broodmares and foals. Needless to say Amber was hooked, and an elbow to Matt’s rib at Keeneland November she was in the thoroughbred business.
Favorite Moment: Watching The Long Knife win the Texas Classic Derby.
